🌟 An Evening to Remember: Presentation of Juan Rodríguez's Anthology of My Verse in 100 Poems at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Palma.
Last Friday, we experienced one of those unforgettable evenings. At the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Palma, Juan Rodríguez, our beloved "Poet of the Asphalt," presented Anthology of My Verse in 100 Poems, and what transpired there was much more than a literary event: it was a meeting of souls, a space of sensitivity, humanity, and words that resonate.
From the very first moment, the room was filled with a warmth that is difficult to describe, that special energy that only appears when people feel, respect, and celebrate the beauty of poetry. Each contribution, each reading, each knowing glance created an intimate atmosphere where art became a bridge between hearts.
One of the most moving moments of the evening was the mention Juan dedicated to us, both during the presentation and in the poem he wrote for us. Luis Ángel Dieguez and I —Carmen Triol— were deeply touched to receive such personal and heartfelt words, and the tremendous video presentation, which compiled images of friends and previous presentations, spectacular photographs by Milena, a small tribute to our beloved and admired Maestro, the great Joan Gibert, may he rest in peace, and that magical combination of recited poetry in the background and the vibrant sound of the guitar, brought tears to many of our eyes.
It's not common to find someone with the ability to touch the soul with a verse and, at the same time, illuminate everyday life with their kindness, humility, and sincere friendship.
Because Juan is not only a great poet, he is a great person.
This was confirmed by each of the voices that participated in the event: people who wanted to speak to express how much he means to them. His poetry is not just read; It is lived. His presence not only accompanies; it comforts. His way of being in the world is a gift that inspires.
We feel profoundly fortunate to have his friendship, his affection, and his light.
Thank you, Juan, for giving us verses, for giving us time, for giving us your essence, and as I said at the presentation, thank you for existing.
Eternally grateful.
CARMEN TRIOL AND LUIS ÁNGEL DIEGUEZ
P.S. If anyone is interested in the book, they can contact Juan directly through his social media; we highly recommend it.
